Scene 2: Fighting in the Courtyard, End
raw video link here!

Some time has passed since the scuffle in the courtyard began--
However, the number of monsters isn't going down, and they keep popping up one after another.
Zephyr: Haaaa!
Yuri: Tch… they're pretty weak, but there's a whole lot of 'em.
Velvet: There's no end to them…!
Yuri and Velvet are cutting through our enemies with such demonic strength that I wouldn't have guessed they were using their non-dominant arms, but…
Zephyr: At this rate, we'll be pretty worn down by the time we enter the castle…
Kana: What do we do, Zephyr!?
Should we blow them all away with one big attack… no, we should save our strength...
While I'm mulling it over, suddenly--

Everyoneeeee!

Lippy: Please! Leave this to meeeeee!
His voice echoes across the battlefield so suddenly that it momentarily leaves me at a loss.
When I look behind us, to where his voice is coming from, the fairy is striking a heroic pose.
Huh? Now that I think about it, he…
I signal to everyone to fall back and run over to Lippy.
Zephyr: Lippy! You weren't fighting at all. What're you up to?
Lippy: I was drawing a greater magic circle for that would help us break through this deadlock.
True to his word, there is a large circle at his feet.
What's it for…?
Lippy: Please leave this… to my summoning spell!
Summoning spell--!?
Link: Lippy… you even learned that?
Lippy: To serve as sword and shield for all of you -- that is the extent of my devotion!
Lippy: However, I needed to prepare a large circle, and because of the power involved, it is a spell difficult to wield in an enclosed space… and so I decided that now is the time to use it!
Summoning is an extremely high-level spell.
It's used to call forth and order creatures of many different aspects, including "fairies"... "sealed sacred beasts"... or even "legendary heroes…"
But its power is without equal. No matter what comes, if it's strong enough to break through here in one shot…
Zephyr: Okay, got it. We'll be counting on you!
Lippy: Understood! In that case, everyone, please fall further back beyond the circle.
As directed, we move back and watch over Lippy.
Just what kind of summoning spell is he planning to use, anyway?
Lippy: Activate!
The circle begins to glow as Lippy feeds it with magical energy.
Lippy: Gate… open! Tread the path of light and emerge before us!
Just what kind of creature is going to appear on the battlefield…?
Lippy: I summon thee!
A bright light blinds me--
Rumble--!
Zephyr: Wha!?
When the light fades, the thing we see before us is far beyond what we imagined.
Lippy: I have summoned forth the fruits of my nighttime labor!
--No matter how I look at it, it's the ship that brought us to Clariye.
It wasn't a summoning, it was just a translocation. Well, that doesn't matter.
Zephyr: Hey, Lippy! What are you trying to do with this thing?
I ask Lippy, not allowing myself to be thrown off by the miraculous appearance of our ship in the middle of the courtyard.
Lippy: We can break through using two of the handy functions built into the ship.
Zephyr: By handy functions, you mean--
The second I remember, I suddenly understand the situation.
Lippy draws some sort of sign.
Then the statue of the Goddess Leone on the ship glows bright--
Lippy: Please watch closely! Take this! The hull defense system constructed with technology from the era of gods!
Lippy: Goddess Buster Cannon!
And then.
The goddess statue emits a flash of light that mows down the monsters packed into the courtyard.
Monsters: ---!?????
Holy fire burns through the monsters before they can even scream.
When it's over, almost none of them remain.
Kana: So… strong…
Link: You… really can't use this indoors…
It would destroy the room in an instant.
Velvet: That's pretty useful. ...Maybe our ship could use something like that.
Yuri: Why'd he build in something so dangerous?
Lippy looks satisfied, not paying any mind to our astonishment.
Lippy: Hmm! So it came in handy! I installed it just in case we should ever encounter a kraken. Oh, I'm so glad!
Lippy: And when constructed as a statue of the Goddess Leone, it's capable of accumulating so much more power! Praise be… praise be…
Lippy faces the statue and prays devoutly.
Zephyr: ...you… really are one dependable fairy.
Yuri: In any case, our way is clear. Let's break into the castle!
