Sara: Hmm… okay. Looks like this is the right road.
Sara: We’re pretty close now. We should be able to see it soon.
Kana: Yaaaay! I wonder what the venue’s like! This is gonna be great!
Zephyr: We haven’t even gotten there yet. You’re way too excited…
Allen: I’m looking forward to this Christmas party too.
Allen: Orie is the one organizing it. The invitations made it sound like a lot of fun.
Sara: Haha… should I read it? Um… “Are you enjoying your travels, everyone?”
Kana: Yeah! Of course! We’re going east and west and having great adventures every day!
Sara: “I know you must be busy, but… we’re holding a Christmas party this year.”
Sara: “We plan to invite lots of people to the party. ♪”
Kana: Yaay! That’s great! We can catch up with the friends we don’t usually see!
Sara: “We’re also planning to exchange presents. You’re welcome to come if you’d like.”
Kana: Yeah! We’re definitely gonna come! Wait for us, Orie!
Zephyr: Geez. Don’t add your comments to every single line.
Kana: I like Orie. She thinks up lots of fun things.
Zephyr: You think everyone who likes to celebrate is your friend.
Kana: They all are. It’s the same for Lippy.
Allen: “I’ll go ahead first to help with the preparations and make this the very best party.”
Allen: …And then he ran ahead.
Sara: He was really energized. He crossed over two mountains in a flash.
Zephyr: You’re the only one who could see that far, Sara.
Zephyr: We always end up dragged in like this whenever Lippy and Kana agree.
Allen: You like celebrations too, Zephyr. You always take part.
Zephyr: Not because I want to. I’m just going along with you guys every single time.
Allen: Really? In the giant crab fight, you really went after that crab—
Zephyr: That crab was looking down on me. I needed to put it in its place.
Sara: In the fluffy hair ribbon festival, you put so many cute ribbons in Kana’s hair—
Zephyr: When they said our opponent might as well be a model, all my hidden talents emerged. Dunno why.
Zephyr: Next thing I knew, Kana’s hair was all tied up in fluffy ribbons super fancy-like.
Kana: In the scarf-knitting contest, they called you the greatest scarf-maker of our age!
Zephyr: Doesn’t matter what it is, a switch goes off in my head and I get super into it. I hate that part of me…!
Zephyr: But—that’s ‘cause this ridiculous girl always goes “This sounds like fun!” and jumps right into it!
Kana: It’s fine, right? There’s a lot of things that are fun.
Kana: I want to spend every day with you all like this.
Kana: You think so too, right, Sara?
Sara: Right. Every day is so much fun when we’re all adventuring together!
Kana: Ehehe… Sara, I love you!
Sara: Haha. Kana~! Good girl.
Zephyr: Sara always goes way too easy on Kana. Say something, Allen.
Allen: Huh? Why me?
Zephyr: Well. If you really are that clueless, it’s not like you’d be able to scold her either.
Allen: I don’t know what you mean… Anyway, why don’t you just go ahead and have fun, Zephyr?
Allen: We’re wearing the clothes Lippy made for the event too.
Zephyr: Don’t get me wrong. I’m just wearing new winter clothes to deal with the cold.
Kana: That Santa costume looks really good on you too, Zephyr.
Zephyr: Santa costume? What’re you talking about? I’m just using this as a warm coat.
Sara: Zephyr, why do you keep insisting you’re not Santa?
Zephyr: Well, that’s ‘cause… Hey, Allen. Greet them like you’re Santa. Then they’ll get it.
Allen: Huh? Why all of a sudden? Um… Merry Christmas! Have you been good children? Here’s a present for you!
Sara: Whoa! Allen, you sound great!
Allen: Ahaha. If you say so.
Zephyr: That’s right. Said like that, you’re a proper Santa. Kids will smile and come running.
Zephyr: Merry Christmas! Were you good kids? I’m gonna give you presents!
Zephyr: …That’s what it would sound like. It’s way too different from how I usually am. The kids would run away.
Kana: That’s not true. You’re a really good person.
Zephyr: Hahaha. What the hell are you talking about?

Kana: Waaaah! Why are you noogieing me?!

Zephyr: Yeah, yeah. I just hope the food and present exchange and stuff go over well.
Zephyr: …Oh, right. Are the presents we brought in that bag?
Sara: Yes. I was hoping to give something kind of rare, so I brought the reward we got from the last merchants’ request.
Zephyr: The big hunt in the middle of town, huh. That was a pretty rough fight… couldn’t relax for a second.
Allen: Was it really that scary?
Sara: That was the time Zephyr and Kana drove them slowly toward the ambush point.
Zephyr: If we let our guard down even a little, we would get attacked. My hood-grabbing hand was covered in sweat.
Sara: Ahh, I see.
Kana: Did I really mess up that much?
Zephyr: I remember well. Twelve times. It was the top daily record for last month. Second place was only six times, it’s pretty far ahead.
Allen: Why do you remember so well?
Zephyr: So what is it we got for the reward?
Sara: You don’t remember, huh… it’s a really rare dye.

Sara: Become… um, we’re just wearing these clothes…
Santa: You are wearing the clothes. In other words, you’ve taken the first step along the road to becoming Santas. That’s the way it goes.
Santa: You can’t wear those bright red clothes without absolute conviction.

Kana: Hm hm. So that’s how it is. I learned something today! This is so exciting!
Sara: Kana’s getting into it too.
Zephyr: Oh, geez… So we’ve got no choice but to go along with it, huh.
Allen: So… Now that we’re Santas again, what did you need from us?
Santa: Hm. I thought to instruct you in the Santa Skills.
Sara: Santa Skills?
Santa: The essential qualities that all Santas must learn: heart, technique, and strength.
Reindeer: There is one skill for heart and 248 for technique and strength.
Sara: Your essentials are really biased toward strength…
Santa: I came here today to teach you as much of the essentials as I can.
Reindeer: If you distribute presents on the holy night without knowing the essentials… you won’t return in one piece.
Zephyr: What kind of dangerous stuff do you guys even do?
Santa: The first technique, “Santa Hole.”
Santa: Hold up your pointer and middle finger, spaced about the distance between two eyes. Try it.
Sara: Umm, so a peace sign. Like this?
Santa: Right. And then… That wall looks good. —Haa!
Boom!!
Santa: If you stab forcefully, just like that, you can make peepholes to see inside.
Zephyr: Starting with something destructive, huh. I should’ve known.
Santa: Figure out what they’re up to first so you don’t get caught. It’s important.
Zephyr: Seriously… Huh? What’s up, Kana? Why’re you curled over like that?
Kana: Zephyr… this is bad. My fingers made this weird sound. They hurt a lot.
Zephyr: …Try “pain, pain, go away.”
Reindeer: We don’t have much time. Let’s continue. Read this manual.
Allen: What is it? It’s as thick as an encyclopedia.
Santa: It contains instructions on making sleeping gas and smoke bombs, tools to use when caught.
Reindeer: Kids usually start crying if fingers come out of their walls all of a sudden.
Lippy: Isn’t that because you use the Santa Hole…?
Sara: I’d just like to ask… Don’t you have anything more normal?
Santa: Hmph, then let’s go to something a bit more orthodox: physical skill number one.
Santa: Hold up your pointer and middle finger, spaced about the distance between two eyes.
Kana: Huh? Isn’t that the same as before? It’s a peace sign again. Okay.
Santa: No, that’s the pose for Santa Eye Break, used to blind your pursuers if you’re seen.
Zephyr: That’s dangerous no matter how you look at it. That’s rude to the peace sign.
Kana: Mm… that’s true.
Kana: So then if you’re seen, how about making your very best peace sign and distracting them with a smile?
Santa: Ah…hm… you may have a point. I never expected to find a way out other than blinding them.
Reindeer: We’ve reached a turning point in the long history of Santas…
Zephyr: You probably couldn’t distract them with just that… But I guess it’s okay as long as it makes you guys a little less violent.
Santa: …Well then, there are yet more skills. Let’s keep going.
Santa: Hmph. With that, we’ve finished most of the technique and strength skills.
Sara: It was all how to use firearms and gunpowder and how to launch surprise attacks. It would be useful in a fight, but…
Lippy: Are you trying to form a combat unit?
Reindeer: Not at all. We polish our techniques day and night for the ultimate goal of making children’s dreams come true.
Santa: Yes. That feeling is the most essential Santa skill: “heart.”
Santa: Now that we’ve reached the end of your instruction, you must prove your heart to me.
Allen: What do you mean?
Santa: “Heart” is a practical test. You’ll deliver presents to everyone in the venue and so bring smiles to their faces.
Santa: Once you do, you will become true Santas.
Zephyr: Make everyone in the venue smile with presents? …That’s impossible. We didn’t bring enough stuff for that.
Santa: Give it some thought. If you don’t… we too will be punished harshly for teaching the Santa essentials to those who aren’t Santas.
Santa: It’s a severe punishment. We’ll be body pressed by muscular Santas for one hundred hours and stripped of our qualifications as Santas.
Sara: I don’t even want to think about it…
Zephyr: But on the other hand, isn’t it better for everyone if we mess up and stop this old guy from running around in the middle of the night in winter?
Kana: Stop it, Zephyr! Santa won’t be Santa anymore. We have to succeed!
Lippy: Hm, what shall we do…
Allen: A present we can give that will make everyone smile… huh…
Allen: Hey, guys—I think I have an idea. What about this?
Lippy: …I see! Wonderful, Master Allen! That’s an amazing idea.
Sara: Yeah, if we do that, I think it’ll work!
Kana: Waaah! This’ll be great! I’m sure everyone will smile for us!
Zephyr: Yeah. We’ve already reeled in one kid. It’s gotta work.
Allen: Okay! Then let’s get started.
Everyone: Yeah!

Sara: We got to ride one a long time ago too. The wind’s really nice!
Kana: I’m glad he let us borrow the sleigh! And we’re wearing these clothes too. It really does feel like we’re Santas now.
Zephyr: Hey now, don’t get so excited. I know flying so high is really fun, but—

Allen: Great. How about… over here?
Zephyr: So right over the tree. Sounds gound to me.
Kana: It’ll look great from below!
Allen: Okay! Then let’s go over the plan one more time.
Sara: First is Allen’s magic. It’ll be a little different from usual… is what you said, but…
Zephyr: Rearranging the composition of offensive spells makes them a bit harder to cast, but Allen should manage just fine.
Zephyr: And also—he’s really, really good when it gets down to business. We’re counting on you, partner.
Allen: Ahaha. I’ll do my best. Then Sara and Kana will be up next.
Sara: We’ll be throwing the balls we made as high up into the sky as we can. We’ve got this!
Zephyr: I didn’t think we’d be taking the rainbow dyes we got as presents and what we learned about gunpowder to make “these.”
Allen: Lippy came across the idea in his studies before.
Allen: “I must learn how to make these just in case the time ever comes!” he said.
Kana: Lippy really is—Lippy!
Zephyr: What’s that supposed to mean… is what I’d like to say, but that’s really the only way to put it.
Allen: And lastly, fire spells to light up the balls in the sky.
Allen: It’s dark, the targets are small, and your footing will be unsteady—but you can do it, Zephyr.
Zephyr: Leave it to me. …But I am kinda worried that one of the people throwing might throw ‘em in completely the wrong direction.
Kana: You’re definitely talking about me. But it’ll be fine!
Kana: Before we took off, I prayed to the goddess that I’d be able to throw properly!
Zephyr: …You really went and prayed to someone that important about throwing a bunch of balls…
Zephyr: Kinda feel like it’s a lost cause, but… well, we’ll manage no matter what happens. I’m used to picking up the slack for you.

Allen: That’s great!
Santa: You were able to make the children—no, you were able to make all the people smile.
Santa: You’ve passed your Santa initiations with flying colors!
Kana: Yay! Then you won’t be punished either. You’ll get to stay on as a Santa!
Santa: Yes, of course. Naturally, I wasn’t worried at all.
