uh. hi, I'm not dead??? I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, so I'll be... attempting to... post a bit more regularly. it's likely to be mostly Link stuff, since that's easier and faster, but I'll try to work through Hariyama-san slowly too.

first up is another one of the Link comics, and I have another segment of main story lined up as well. I'll try to see what of the comics still needs to be done, too. /o/

uhh. only note for this is that Cress's puns are awful to translate and I hope my attempt in English can be deciphered, lol.

Tales of Link, main story: 2.1.01 - With the Sea Breeze, Start

...my short attention span wins again // I was trying to get Hariyama-san done first, but Link is a lot faster and easier, so, uh, here we are.

General project notes:

• The main character's name is set as Link. There are several characters who note during the story that his default name isn't Allen, so. /shrug
• For the story segments, I'll only be doing the chapters unreleased in English, the "Starlight Sinking Into the Blue" arc. There are eight chapters in total, and recordings of (almost) all the scenes can be found here. The longer scenes are hosted elsewhere and I'll put together a directory someday.
• If I ever have the time, I might try to get these on YouTube with closed caption translations, but that'll be a new thing for me and so may take a while.
• Romanization is a guessing game, as always. The main one is Clariye, the country where this arc is set. The Japanese is [kurarie], so the final e sound is pronounced. Any alternate spellings that preserve the pronunciation are welcome. I also considered Clarié but generally people don't know how to read accents, so...
• I didn't play Global Link, so if there are any particular terms they used in translation that I miss, please let me know.

Tales of Link x IDOLiSH7 collab: Search for Idol Candidates!

okay look, two of my games are doing a collab. I had to do it.

general notes: since Tales doesn't use honorifics, I dropped them for this translation. I don't play Global, though, so unfortunately I don't know what Lippy does there instead of appending -sama to everyone's names. it would look a bit silly using full names for speech labels all the time, so I just used given names. there are a couple links thrown in for your edification if you aren't familiar with i7 or Tales of Xillia. uhh I think that's it??

aaaand I continue to win at the "remember to post things when you're done translating" game.  as it turns out, the TOLink wiki has scripts for a lot of past events, so I might end up doing more of these; the New Year's and Halloween events were particularly memorable, so I'll probably pick those up at some point.  they're... a lot longer than I expected, though.

pretty busy right now, but next up is Hariyama-san.  should hopefully have the color pages up next week. o/

how to translate something and then forget to ever post it: a guide by me. This subquest features Milla and Sophie, with cameos by the rest of the heroes of light and, er, a certain father-figure character.

Next up is the translation of the Idolmaster event from Tales of Link, which is longer than this and will probably take more time. After that I'll start the edit of Persona x Detective and translation of the next volume of Hariyama-san.

So the current Tales of Asteria gacha includes a limited-edition four-star Sophie, and someone in our guild was lucky enough to roll her.  Her low-level subquest has a mini-plot with Elle. ...there was no way I would be able to resist two of the cutest characters in recent Tales memory.
