Persona x Detective Naoto: Upheaval

And then there were...

Lot of plot in this chapter and no fanservice.  New record, or something.  Sorry for the wait.  It's a bit later than I had planned; a certain other project took precedence partway through the month.  If I'm super productive and manage to tear myself away from Pokemon, I may try to have next GakuPuri out by the first.

As always, let me know if there are any errors, in translation, grammar, formatting, or otherwise.

Hatoful Boyfriend web novel preview

ughhh hato fandom why haven't you translated this yet :( I know I'm not the only person who pretends to know Japanese. whatever, I gave in.  I'd really prefer not to translate the web series; I'm pretty busy and have other commitments, and I'm pretty sure a ton of references and puns would just go over my head.  is anyone working on that?  any word?

anyway, here you go, a last offering before nano. the trailer can be found here.

Hariyama-san, Center of the World, volume 1: Axe Man Comedy

And suddenly all is explained. Two main things to note with this chapter: the perspective switches are Narita's, and due to the way Japanese is structured, there's one scene where it's unclear where it goes from first- to third-person. The other is that I really don't know how to translate yakuza slang and speech styles. Oh well. ._.;

I'll be doing NaNoWriMo again this year, so I'll be banning myself from translating in November. I considered being extremely productive and trying to get a chapter of Persona x Detective out before the end of October, but it turns out I no longer have the time (between work and class) or dedication (between Pokemon and also Pokemon) to manage that. Expect December updates for that, GakuPuri, and probably Hariyama-san again.

Motto Gakuensai no Oujisama: Hyoutei scenes

Translation of all the Hyoutei-specific scenes in Motto Gakuensai no Oujisama. Note that the way you refer to each character may differ depending on your affection levels with them. Character name for this playthrough was Taniguchi Miyu.

I'll try to actually be productive with my life and have Jirou's route done by tomorrow ww. You might notice Oshitari's being updated here and there, as I translated a few of the parts I initially skipped for him.

Hariyama-san, Center of the World, volume 1: Axe Man Tragedy

Did I say a week? I meant two days. I definitely did not translate ten pages of this yesterday. Really.  There is another part to this story, but that's for next update.

I've given up on comparing to the original Japanese because razy. ☆ If anything comes across as really weird or if you've taken a look at the original raws and it turns out I missed something, do let me know~

Persona x Detective Naoto: Flow

If I say this chapter is the longest chapter in the book, at 91 pages and over 20,000 words, will that help explain why it took so long? ...yeah. Anyway, I can't say I really approve of the content of this chapter, but meh.  Here.  Also, note that this has not been proofread or checked against the original past a certain point.  I got lazy.

The next chapter of Hariyama-san will be out in the next week. The next two routes of GakuPuri will be done hopefully before the end of the month.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga: Volume 1, type compatibility chart

The flowchart at the beginning of the first print volume of the HatoKare manga that tells you who you would go best with. A cursory scan shows no other non-negligible new material that hasn't been translated, so with this, I'm done for the volume. /o/

I can't replicate the boxes very well without scanning, short of drawing them myself, so have a bunch of anchor tags that should lead you down the right route. 8| For the record, I got Nageki. Was heading straight down Ryouta path until it asked about overtime, l-lol.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga: Volume 1, new chapter 9

The new chapter included in the print edition of the Hatoful Boyfriend manga, between the New Year's and Legumentine's chapters. No pictures, in part because I don't have a scanner and in part because you should support Moa if at all possible anyway. :3

Possibly one more translation from this book to go, of the "Type Identification Chart" at the beginning and any changes from the web version I can find, when I go through the book more thoroughly.  That should be done in a couple days.  The stuff on the cover and obi is basically summary/advertising stuff, so I probably won't go through it... no need.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga: Volume 1 extras

Finally got hold of my print copy of the manga, so have a translation of some of the bonus added bits.  Note that I don't have a scanner, so there aren't any pictures, and I wouldn't include them anyway; I'd like to encourage anyone who can to buy the book.

I know the question corner has already been translated, so I won't be poking at that.  I will do the new chapter and look for changes from the web version when I have some time, though due to Japan Expo this weekend, that might not be until Monday.  In the meantime, have stuff from the cover and the illustrations between chapters.

Doki Doki Survival: Sanada route

Some snippets of scenes, though I don't remember exactly when they take place, and his ending and epilogue for now. Also incomplete record of what he can say during skinship minigame. I apologize for nothing.

Character name Yamamoto Aya.

Hariyama-san, Center of the World, volume 1: color pages

The new project I was talking about, due to being a sucker for Narita. OTL I've been tossing around the idea of translating some of his works for some time and I finally feel like Naoto has given me enough levels for me to give it a try. (I must be masochistic or something.)

Hariyama-san, Center of the World (or Sekai no Chuushin, Hariyama-san) is a series of connected short stories by Narita Ryohgo, the author of Durarara!! and Baccano!. They're basically strange or supernatural events that are seemingly unrelated, except that every one of them involves the title character, Shinkichi Hariyama, as a minor character in some capacity.  The last story in each volume ties all the previous stories together.  It doesn't take place in the Naritaverse (consisting of Durarara!!, Baccano!, Vamp!, and Etsusa Bridge), but it seemed interesting and it isn't currently being worked on, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I do plan to translate all three volumes, though they're not a priority right now, since I really should finish Naoto first.  Corrections and the like are always appreciated, since it's not like I'm great at this, lol.

Motto Gakuensai no Oujisama: Yukimura translations

Combined walkthrough and scene translations for Yukimura's route. His works a bit differently from all the others because he's the hidden character, so there's a lot fewer scenes. To unlock in the DS version, beat any other Rikkai character's route and start with Rikkai again.

Character name is Mizuno Rise; I know this conflicts with the general Rikkai scenes but I like having different names in my playthroughs, boo. Character name in parentheses means the name is said onscreen but not voiced.

Motto Gakuensai no Oujisama: Sanada walkthrough

Er, does this not belong on a translation blog? Whatever. It's here to give some sense to the order of scenes in GakuPuri. Sanada's route. Prince of Tennis Perfect Edition: Last Message

Translation of the bonus manga in season 3, volume 11 of the TeniPuri kanzenban edition.

This isn't, technically, complete, but it's as finished as it will get for now. This is because the board is really unfortunately crowded with handwritten messages and it's hard for me to read anything that small and messy. It doesn't detract from the manga very much to have some missing, but I did what I could, so I'm unlikely to add more anytime soon unless anyone actually needs me to or unless someone who also has access to the raws can help out deciphering them.

Prince of Tennis Perfect Edition: The Military Record of Kabriel III

Translation of the bonus manga included in season 3, volume 9 of the TeniPuri kanzenban edition.

Hakuouki Zuisouroku: Okita Souji – Letter

Okita's final CG is a voiced letter, which you receive for clearing his route. Translated here.

Hakuouki Zuisouroku: Okita Souji – Love Recollection 6

Most of the sixth scene from Okita's route in Zuisouroku.

Hakuouki SS: Dawn, The Month They Come

translation of the Hakuouki short story "Reimei, Kuru Gatsu", posted around the same time as the Reimeiroku release and taking place a little bit before that game. incidentally, the title can be interpreted several ways; I decided to go with "month".

Hakuouki SS
Dawn, The Month They Come

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter twelve

Chapter twelve. New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter eleven

Chapter eleven. New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter ten

Chapter ten. New chapter raws are out every month here.

The “turnover” in the last 4koma and the short manga is referring to job turnover.

Anghel refers to Nageki and Okosan by their fantasy world titles/names rather than the usual ones. Okosan’s is technically “Sacred Beast Great Pigeon”, but Moa has previously translated that full title as just “Great Pigeon”, so that’s what it is here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter nine

Chapter nine. New chapter raws are out every month here.

There is one Anghel-named strip this time around, so once again, the title is the furigana/English title/how it should be read and the stuff in parentheses is the translation of the kanji/how it's written.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter eight

Chapter eight. New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter seven

Chapter seven. New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter six

Chapter six. New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter five

Chapter five.  New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter four

Chapter four.  New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter three

Chapter three.  New chapter raws are out every month here.

Of note: each strip featuring Anghel has a title in kanji/kana (regular Japanese), with furigana over it (usually it tells you how something is supposed to be read). In this case, the furigana over the kanji isn’t a direct translation, but instead something in English. Therefore, the “title” is the English title, and the (stuff in parentheses) is the Japanese title.

Contains spoilers for Holiday Star.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter two

Chapter two.  New chapter raws are out every month here.

Hatoful Boyfriend manga, chapter one

Chapter one.  New chapter raws are out every month here.

Prince of Tennis: Prince of Swim Trunks

Various scanlations are floating around the Internet, but the one I had a bit more of a hand in can be found here.
