--Yuri and I walk through the streets at night, talking about nothing in particular.
Of course, we remain alert to our surroundings. If there's anything at all that looks off, we want to get there as fast as we can.
He must have gone out alone at night to search for the man-eating monster because he thought it would be dangerous.
Yuri's instincts as a fighter may have alerted him to the danger on this island.
He wanted to avoid getting us involved as much as possible -- that's what I think.
Zephyr: (I know because we traveled together.)
It also showed through when he earlier asked if the others would be okay.
What if the monster appeared in town while we were outside looking for it? He was even imagining situations like that.
I ponder over this and that as we walk, until we reach a place far from the town.
Yuri: Nothing really out of the ordinary, huh.
Zephyr: Looks like tonight is a no-go. We should head back now--
--Then.
"Aaaaaaaaaah!?"
Zephyr: --!?
A scream pierces through the night air.
Yuri: --Over there! Hurry!
Yuri's black hair streams behind him as he sprints, and I chase after him.
