In one of the inn rooms--
--I finish by pouring the gathered healing magic over his whole body.
I've finished his treatment. When I check his stomach again, it's closed properly without even a scar.
Link: There. That should be good. Please tell me if something feels off.
Sesque: Amazing… ...please let me thank you again. Thank you.
When the sun rose, the two of them returned with Sesque.
We'd let him rest in one of the rooms. I'd treated him with a healing arte, and now--
Everyone is gathered in this room to ask Sesque about what's happening in this country.
Sara: --If it's all right, would you please tell us what happened? There might be a clue as to what's happening here.
Sesque: ...You're… the ones I met on the ocean yesterday. How did you make land?
In this situation, there's no reason to hide it.
Lippy: We took a wide detour to the west and anchored our ship at an area full of cliffs. There, we disembarked.
Sesque: The waves are really rough there… I don't know how you got through all that… Can you tell me the reason you wanted to enter the country so badly?
Link: Yes… that's right. You don't know who we are or why we're here, so you don't know if it's all right to tell us.
We tell him about the Seeds and summarize our reason for coming to this country.

We tell him that the frightening weapon known as the Seeds of Ruin has entered this country.
We don't know what form they've taken, but they're acting maliciously in some way.
Sesque listens to our explanation, nodding at each detail.

Sesque: The Seeds of Ruin… so those ancient weapons might be taking root…
Sesque: The "man-eating monster" that attacked us yesterday. Was that one of those ruinators?
Kana: Zephyr, what did you think when you fought her?
Zephyr: ...to tell the truth, I got a different feeling from her. But she did let off a feeling of evil.
Zephyr: I think she might've come from a different source than the Seeds.
Sesque: So that's… something different… but it's true enough that it's something that's only appeared recently…
Sesque appears to be deep in thought, and Lippy asks him.
Lippy: From your reaction, I take it that you have an idea?
When we had been explaining the Seeds, Sesque had nodded frequently.
It was as if he was receiving answers to the suspicions he had harbored.
Yuri: Has anything strange happened here recently?
Sesque: That's another odd question.
He smiles self-deprecatingly.
Sesque: Aren't the things you've seen with your own eyes strange enough for you?
Yuri: Hahaha. Yeah, that's true.
Sesque: They suddenly announced an ancient ceremony. At the same time, they closed the country's borders inexplicably. And a man-eating monster showed up.
Sesque: And the disappearance of a person who was investigating all that… you could say everything is strange.
He sighs once.
Sesque: You saved me at risk to yourselves. I'll trust you with what I know. So please take what I say to heart.
We nod. Sesque steels himself and begins to speak.
Sesque: The strange things started happening about when a certain rumor began to spread about Clariye's royal palace.
Lippy: What kind of rumor?
Sesque: The king made a traveling fortuneteller his advisor on matters concerning the country.
Kana: A fortuneteller...
Sesque: I'm told he's had many reasons to travel through this country for a long time, and as a result, he knows a lot about this island and its traditions.
Sesque: It seems the king was captivated by his knowledge and wisdom.
Sesque: No, not just the king, but the cabinet and prime minster as well.
Yuri: I've been looking into it since I came here, but that's the first I'm hearing of this. Is this true?
Sesque: It's a rumor that's been passed around those of us who work directly for the country. It hasn't yet spread among the townspeople.
Sesque: If it became publicly known that a man of unknown origin had suddenly appeared and joined the country's representatives, their trust in the government would be shaken.
Yuri: I think it's already pretty shaken.
Sesque: That hurts to hear…
Link: So Sesque, you think the fortuneteller is behind everything.
Sesque: Yes. Strange things slowly started happening right around the time that rumor first started.
Sesque: The announcement of the ancient ceremony also went out after the rumors about the fortuneteller. At the same time, we received a puzzling order…
Yuri: What, exactly?
Sesque: We were told to make a strange room deep inside the barracks because it was necessary for the ancient ceremony.
Sesque: There's a magic circle in the middle… and we were split into groups based on whether or not there was a reaction if we stepped into it.
Zephyr: ...what kind of reason did they give you for it?
Sesque: They said only those guards who possessed a special power would be able to go near the castle during the ancient ceremony.
Sesque: If you stepped in the circle, you would know if you had that power or not. The higher-ups call them the "Conformists" and give them special assignments.
Link: That magic circle can't be what they say it is… definitely not.
Zephyr: It's probably… some kind of sorcery. I can say that much without even seeing it.
Sesque: The palace guards are all Conformists. Lately they've also started guarding some ancient ruins a short distance away from the city.
Hearing that, Lippy begins checking on the SMARTPHON.
Lippy: Would those ruins happen to be in the mountains to the northwest of town?
Sesque: Yes… that's right.
Lippy: I'm picking up signs of the Seeds around there. That must be the place that the SMARTPHON is detecting.
Yuri: Okay… so now we can focus our investigation.
Yuri: With this much shady stuff going on, the guy I'm looking for must've gotten caught up in it somewhere…
Kana: That fortuneteller deployed soldiers to guard the ruins where there's a signal from the Seeds of Ruin…
Lippy: It seems indisputable that they are somehow connected to the Seeds.
Zephyr: I wanna say we should cut off the head of the snake… but security will probably be really tight. It's not something we wanna do unprepared.
Sara: So then the question is whether we check out the room in the soldiers' barracks or the ruins to the northwest where the Seeds are.
Lippy: I'm also concerned about the man-eating monster, but her whereabouts are unknown. We have no choice but to postpone that matter.
Sesque: If you're going to investigate the barracks, I'll guide you. ...I lost my comrades because of my indecision…
Link: Sesque…
Sesque: --I don't want to have any more regrets! Please!
Link: Got it. We'll be counting on you when we investigate the barracks.
Sesque: Thanks.
Kana: ...So then which do we look into first?
When I contemplate which path we should take--
Yuri: Isn't it better not to choose?
--Yuri voices something I hadn't thought of.
Link: You mean investigate them both at the same time?
Yuri: If we investigate one and the mastermind finds out, the might strengthen security on the other location.
Yuri: It's better to do it all at once while they're off-guard.
Zephyr: Makes sense… yeah, that might be true.
Sara: Then we'll split into two teams and investigate separately.
Link: Then in that case, we'll go to…
