Tales of Link, main story: 2.2.08 - The Red Demon Arm, End

I forgot to include it before, but the last story segment now contains a screencap of a CG that came in halfway through the scene. :D

Attacking and defending--
Under each other's unflinching strikes, we push to gain the upper hand--
Skreeeeeeee!
Our swords and fists entwine again, letting off a metallic screech, as we struggle for dominance.
My senses are sharpened when we fight at close quarters like this, and I realize something.
Zephyr: That arm… that's not the power of the Seeds!? Who the hell are you…?
Man-eating monster?: Ugh…! I've got no idea what you're talking about.
If it's not the Seeds' power, then what is it…?
Then, seeing my hesitation, the man-eating monster moves.
Man-eating monster?: ...This is going to be tough… So--
In the next moment, her demon arm shines brightly and I feel her power gathering.
Yuri: Ugh!?
Man-eating monster?: Break Boost!
The shock breaks open the earth. We back away immediately, and the shockwaves strike at our bodies.
But because we jumped back a moment early, we somehow manage to evade it.
When we regain our balance and find our footing--
The killing intent has vanished from the woman.
Zephyr: Running away, huh…!
Man-eating monster?: I have no reason to listen to complaints from people ganging up on me.
Yuri: ...so the infamous "man-eating monster" wants a reason. What are you after?
Man-eating monster?: I don't have to tell you.
Man-eating monster?: I'm just -- sweeping away the sparks from this fire. It's not like I'm eating at random.
She shrugs and sighs, as if she was the one who was dragged in. In that moment, she looks just like a normal human.
--She doesn't let our moment of hesitation pass her by.
She disappears like a crow soaring into the dark night.
Zephyr: Dammit… she got away…
Yuri: Don't be like that. It's a good thing none of us got hurt against an opponent like that.
Saying that, Yuri sheaths his sword, looking as if he's deep in thought.
Yuri: Did he get dragged into this...? ...No. If his job was to investigate, he wouldn't fight her directly.
Yuri: Honestly… where did he go off to?
--Then.
Sesque: You two…
We hear a quiet voice from behind us.
Sesque: ...Sorry… thanks… for saving me…
The captain -- the man called Sesque whom we met on the ocean.
The single surviving witness of this tragic night.
...If we question this man, maybe we'll learn something.
